WHAM!

Anette Ollereanshaw’s article for the ABTT: Association of British Theatre Technicians industry magazine #Sightline titled ‘Training & Education in the Performing Arts – WHAM’s Place in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion‘ (page 10-15) has been published. It’s a good read and full of insight into the Wigs, Hair and make-Up departments.

This week, the Arts & Culture Network hosted the monthly TAD Talk presentation by Anette Ollerearnshaw, who is an industry voice, provocateur and author, and her work traverses with ease across soft and hard technology production specialisms in the arts, education and entertainment.

Amongst her wide range of industry positions, she has been Trustee Director at the Association of British Theatre Technicians (ABTT) since 2014.

Here she authors regular articles for the Sightline magazine, writes specialist sustainability guidance for the Theatre Green Book and has founded the Wigs, Hair and Make-up Community titled ABTT WHAM.

Outside of her impressive voluntary and freelance profile, since 2014 she has been Technical Manager at University of the Arts London. Here she currently leads on all things technical for Wimbledon College of Arts’ Production, Design & Technologies programme.

Sought out as a consultant for her vast Wigs, Hair and Make-up (WHAM) knowledge and experience in leading teams, designing characters and managing workflow, she is keenly hired by executive teams for her ability to realise the creative vision with flair and excellence.

Her most recent Sightline article is titled ‘WHAM’s Place in Diversity, Equality and Inclusion’ and in this she has set the bar for industry to engage with an insightful approach of how production and design workflow can creatively respond to increased diversity in casting choices.
